In Light of the Scriptures - What is it all about?
Few experiences hurt more than learning that someone you trust has lied to you. You might feel humiliated, angry, or even betrayed. Lies destroy friendships and other relationships; they defraud people of countless millions of dollars.
Imagine, then, how you would feel if you learned that you had been lied to about God. If you are devout, the effect could be profound. How can you determine whether you have been lied to? The Bible gives us the answer:
"My dear friends, do not believe all who claim to have the Spirit, but test them to find out if the spirit they have comes from God. For many false prophets have gone out everywhere." - 1 John 4:1 Good News Bible
Thus in accordance with the above passage, this forum was created to house biblical discussions in a proper and orderly manner.
While there may be specific rules and regulations stated at the "You need to read this" section, the forums ultimate rule with regards to discussions would be to accept Bible as the absolute authority.
